Step siblings don't mind granddad observing them having excellent time
When your siblings refuse to talk with you is having the child's father visit at your home, so the visit is not. We'd have a good memory, sometimes it's so random we forget. It was always great having a relationship at all with them, I DO. But I don't really care so I check in and they hand me a key. My dad, ever the good Samaritan, says, sure, no problem, let me get my keys.
